Background

Rebecca graduated with Distinction and First Class Honours in Economics and Marketing from the Mount Allison University in Sackville, New Brunswick, Canada and with a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Western Ontario, before being called to the Bar as a barrister and solicitor before the Law Society of British Columbia in May 2001.

After spending 16 months at the leading Canadian firm of Blake, Cassels & Graydon in Vancouver, and a short period at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer in London, she joined the firm in March 2003 to specialise in both contentious and non-contentious matters. Rebecca formally qualified as a solicitor in England and Wales in November 2003.
